What’s Your Element?
Water Element – The Creative
Personality Characteristics
You are a quiet, introverted person on the exterior. People might underestimate you because your unassuming power comes through a quiet strength. You are deeply creative, contemplative, and introspective with a rich interior world. Others may view you as withdrawn, even aloof at times. You keep your emotions close to you without revealing too much to those outside your inner circle. You take your time processing information and are relatively calm in stressful situations. You have a deep reservoir of faith and others may come to you for your wisdom and inspiration. You have strong intuition that you rely on and can trust. Your ideal weekend is being home reading, journaling, listening to music, and perhaps engaging in a creative project.
In Work
You might be a writer, poet, researcher, librarian, painter, intuitive, healer, life coach, artist, dancer, healthcare provider, songwriter, therapist, counselor, or seek to be in a related career. You are brimming with original ideas, but sometimes find it challenging to bring them to fruition. You feel more connected to the spiritual world than the physical realm, which could make money matters challenging at times. That being said, money is not what motivates you so much as being creative and being of service to the world in some way. You may become known for your unique perspectives or new ways of seeing or living in the world. However, your challenge is making your work visible and accessible for distribution in a mainstream market. Partnering with Wood and Fire elements can assist you in this process and bring more satisfaction to your work and life, but be mindful of protecting your intellectual property.
In Relationship
Of all the elements, you are the most self-sufficient and at peace when alone. Because of your inner world and connection to Source, you are never bored. You seek fulfillment within, instead of looking outside yourself. However, you do the enjoy the company of intimate relationships, particularly those in which you share similar ideologies and creative energy. You can expand your world through partnerships, particularly with Wood and Fire elements. The social demands of the Fire element may need to be negotiated, but also provide a welcome break from living too much in your head. You find an easy compatibility with Wood and Metal. Earth elements may be a bit too clingy for your taste. After all, who needs to join a book club when you can sink into your own couch with a good book and glass of wine.
Wood Element - The Leader
Personality Characteristics
You are a natural leader who takes the lead with groups and creates the necessary steps to get projects off the ground and moving. You would consider yourself both introverted and extroverted and can vacillate between either depending on what a situation calls for. You are flexible. You are always learning new things and quick to implement your ideas. You are both intuitive and analytical in your approach. You can bore easily and often have multiple projects going on at once. Your challenge is staying the course to seeing a project through to its end. If you’re not moving forward in some way, you can become frustrated. Your challenge is to take a step back to re-evaluate the best course of action.
In Work
Wood elements make great CEOs, directors, authors, speakers, coaches, project managers, teachers, or any career where you are leading and sharing information to people. You are best in work that engages your left and right brain. You are a people person, but also content working solo on projects. When work endeavors are not moving forward at the pace you would like, it’s a sign to pause and reassess your plan. Like a pioneer discovering a new world, you may have to redraw your map or take a different path. Afterall, you are inventing the wheel and driving the car. You should use your natural abilities to delegate in order to maintain multiple projects at once, or, in your case, run multiple businesses simultaneously.
In Relationship
Like any project, you might jump into a relationship full steam and figure out the details later. Wood elements love falling in love, but could lose the momentum when the newness wears off. However, they do make great partners because of their ability to be alone or in relationship. They prefer someone like themselves with ambition, spontaneity, and a desire for adventure. The Wood element’s challenge is staying open to the other’s ideas and know that there is more than one way to do something. When you maintain your flexibility, you partner well and can create beyond measure. Wood elements partner well with Fire elements who can add that spark of motivation to help them bring a project to fruition. You may find Earth elements to be hovering and controlling and Metal elements cutting into their grand plans. However, both of these elements play a role in the expansive nature of the Wood element. Often, our best teachers are disguised as those who challenge us the most and this is no exception for the Wood element.
Fire Element - The Motivator
Personality Characteristics
You are full of energy, love the company of people, and generally extroverted. People are drawn to your charm, your enthusiasm, and passion towards life. You can also feel burnt out at times, especially if you give too much of your energy away to others. After all, you are like a flame to a moth as your light is attractive to those who need more energy. Your challenge is where to put your focus, but when you do you can manifest anything you want. When you don’t, you become scattered and eventually anxious. Enthusiasm is the secret ingredient to manifestation, and you have it.
In Work
As a people person, you do well in any career where you deal directly with people, including sales, coaching, marketing, publicity, and speaking. You’re also a natural athlete and/or need plenty of exercise for excess mental and physical energy. You do well on your own as a solo entrepreneur or as part of a team. Others will be drawn to partner with you and your challenge may be in drawing boundaries knowing when an opportunity is and isn’t in your best interest. Be mindful of how much you commit to and put on your plate. You are treasure trove of energy, however, even you have your limits. Too much will disperse your energy in too many directions and you will start to lose your luster. In extreme cases, your light turns in on itself and literally becomes depressed. Flip the switch back on by eliminating things you’ve committed to and being okay saying No.
In Relationship
Fire elements enjoy being in relationship. They are passionate and affectionate lovers, that is, unless they’ve given all their energy away to others. In which case, the Fire element may need to retreat into its cave for a few days only to reemerge with a new sense of vitality. Fire elements pair well with Water elements as they provide the calm that helps bring them balance. This is also true with Metal elements as they help the Fire element focus their energy for best success. That being said, in some cases, the Fire element could find the Water element a rain on its parade and the Metal element a drain on its energy. Fire elements find easy compatibility with Wood and Earth elements.
